September 11, 2023 changes

There have been plenty of updates introduced this day.

Pet system update:

• Level cap increased (from 60 to 80)

Nightmare system updates:

• New Nightmare Boss: Fenrir
• New alchemy for legendary equipment. Requires Soul of Nightmare Fenrir, which can be bought for 3000 Nightmare Crystals in the Nightmare Emporium.
• Nightmare Emporium update: many new items available for purchase
• New Item Archives section: Nightmare Archive. Currently includes the 4 [Nightmare I] items, and 2 sets (one for Nightmare Draculia items, one for Nightmare Fenrir items).

New achievement section: Special

• One new achievement: CASTLE VETERAN - Registration time is more than 10 years. Reward: +25 FP, [Castle Veteran] Avatar frame

New pet: Elf Dragon.
Egg and soul shards can be bought in the Nightmare Emporium.

"Player Levels:
Starting now, the amount of experience required to level up will increase additionally for every level gained after reaching level 22,500. Furthermore, leveling up will provide an additional 5 skill points."

"Conquest Tokens:
In the "Land of Mist" of the Guild Conquest event, the total number of conquest tokens possessed by the attacker when attacking a land will change based on the guild's level."

"100v100 Guild Season Shop:
In the donation rewards for the 100v100 event, new pet-related resources have been added as purchasable items."

April 3, 2023 changes

With iOS version v3.500, several changes were introduced concerning the pet system, the nightmare monster system, and the alchemy system.

Here is a little summary.

Pet System:

• Link 3 of pet line-up opened,
• Promotion cap raised to 8 stars,
• Level cap raised to 60,
• Race buffs extended up to level 180 (from 100),
• Fold button added at the top to minimize the pet line-up (desktop version).

Nightmare monster system:

• New "Nightmare Siege" option (earn 25 crystals up to 10 time => 250 extra nightmare crystals / month),
• It now costs 50 stamina to make a Nightmare monster public,
• Making a Nightmare monster public grants a 5% damage bonus to all attackers.

Alchemy:

• New "Favorite" tab, option to add 25 alchemies as favorites.

Colosseum removed:

• Colosseum has been "temporarily closed for maintenance". No Colosseum pages can be accessed in the game anymore (even the shop). It returned with season 7 on April 18.

Important dates

• April 10, 2024: Castle Age is no longer available through Facebook (due to a decision from Facebook). Castle Age tried to fix the issue, to no avail. Consequently, they ended up adding a way to create new accounts through the web (web3 and web4) on September 11, 2024.
• October 14, 2021: Castle Age and its development team have been acquired by DECA Games (source 1, source 2).
• December 20, 2016: "Kabam will partner with Gaea Mobile to bring you Castle Age"
• March 10, 2014: Phoenix Age is bought by Kabam.
• December 1, 2010: iOS app released (source).
• February 2009: Game released on Facebook (source).
