  • We were having a conversation with Ditendra on the CA forums but I think it's better to continue it here so that other interested people can see it as well.

So I'll answer you here @Ditendra.

For those wondering, Monster Rank Points are this: https://castleage.fandom.com/wiki/Ultimate_Monster_List#cite_note-5
    Edit:
Created an article: Monster Rank Points

And I believe the loot you get when collecting on a Monster is tied to the amount of Rank Points you get (which is tied to the damage you deal).

I believe that if you get the maximum amount of Rank Points when collecting, you have the best chance at getting the best loot possible (which is usually a guaranteed Legendary drop, or on some Monsters 2 or 3 Epic drops, etc.).

More info on this forums' thread: Monster Rank Points and Legendary drops

@Ditendra If you did not get a Legendary drop with 11,944,774, then ofc it's a good thing to raise the requirement for 99% chance at Legendary on Kessaran's article! :)

You don't necessarily have to round to the nearest million though, instead of 12,000,000 you could put 11,950,000. I think rounding to the nearest ten thousand is nice (actually I just edited it on Kessaran's article).

@RaySchechter The extra dmg from crits does count, that's for sure :) With all the data I've collected I would have noticed if it didn't.

I think we should round it to 12 million, because if you looked in my sheet, my "Auriel" did 11,970,425 and he got 18,687 monster rank points, while my "Skylla" did 12,125,187 and got 19,500 monster rank points, which means that even 11,970,425 damage didn't give maximum rank points and we all know that maximum rank points guarantee maximum loot. I'm pretty sure 11,950,000 or even 11,970,425 doesn't guarantee legendary damage. I would suggest you to round it back to 12,000,000.

Oh right, I did miss that 11,970,425 damage!

I'll change the 99% number to 11,980,000 then. Many monsters don't have exact round damage amounts for their max rank points, so there's no reason why it should be 12,000,000 rather than 11,980,000 or 12,020,000 for instance, IMO.

  • Hey St0liae, I've made you an administrator per Barathor's request. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the usergroup, but there are a lot of interesting tools that you now have access to, such as article deletion, user blocking, and the ability to edit back-end MediaWiki and other elements of the site. Just keep in mind that these tools should be used responsibly, and in good faith.

This might be a little much, but I wrote a fairly comprehensive essay on adminship for staff on The Elder Scrolls Wiki. Most of it can be applied to other wikis as well. If you're interested, you can read it here. Please let me know if you have any questions for Fandom Staff, as I can act as a liaison between yourselves (wiki staff/community) and the company! Barathor or another active staff member could likely be of more use regarding local affairs.

    • Hello Atvelonis!

      Thank you very much.

I've never been an admin on a wiki before, but I'm used to online admin work in general. I don't think I'll have a problem getting used to the wiki tools :)

Thanks for your essay, it was a very interesting read (though I only read the parts I was most interested in for now!).
And thanks for your offer, I'll keep it in mind :)

  • can you make a list of monster codes. I believe each account has a fixed monster code like zg3tgzg4p: 101. (zg3tgzg4p) = [player code] and (101) = [monster code], 101 for cronus A ,. 3 for vermilion. and I believe every monster has a number code. can you make a list of that?

    • Hello!

You're right each account has a fixed monster code. However what would be the point of such a list? If you're looking for a monster, you should probably go check the public list in game, or summon one yourself, or ask for a guildmate to summon it for instance.

You can also check the threads in the "Monster help" section of the forums: http://www.castleageforums.com/cforum/forumdisplay.php?15-Monster-Help-Add-Me!

You will also find many mosnter codes on these threads btw.

    • can i ask somethink? whats meaning of FP % chance per battle in genesis the earth elemental sheet? i was input some new data and i assume that, the date at i was collected reward. am i true?

    • I don't know what the date in this column is for. But at the top there is "26%" and I think that's what's important. You enter the data in the 2 previous columns (number of demi points, and Favor Points), and it will add it to the total numbers and calculate the chance to get a FP when collecting (or maybe the chance for a demi-slot to be a FP, but the first option seems more likely to me).
