Why go after the Demon Chimeria equipment?
The Demon Chimera drops allows you to create some of the best Epic and Legendary Equipment in the game. Check out the Best PvP Equipment - Duel page to see their rankings. Something to consider, however, the Legendary equipment requires you to have already have created a Shiny Glove and a Glorious Amulet, farmed from the Phantom of Shadow. You should, therefore, consider only creating 1 of each Epic at first.
What does it take to get 1 of each Legendary?
Here is one of several possible paths to creating 1 of each Epics, and 2 of each Epic will give you 1 of each Legendary.

So, that's how many monsters???
12 runs for 1 of each Epic, or 24 runs for 2 of each Epic to make 1 of each Legendary
- 12 runs * 6 monsters per run = 72 total monsters for 1 of each Epic
- 24 runs * 6 monsters per run = 144 total monsters for 1 of each Legendary.
Let's say that you, like me, need 2 Full Stamina Potions or 2 refills, both which cost 10 FPs for 1000 Stamina, and level ups to defeat a single Demon Chimera.
72 total monsters for all 3 Legends
* 2 Full Stamina Potions or refills per monster monster
= 144 Full Stamina Potions or refills needed for all 3 Epics
Legendaries would need *2 = 288 Full Stamina Potions or refills.
Great! So, how much do 144 or 288 Full Stamina Potions or refills cost?
10 FPs per Full Stamina Potions or refills
- * 144 Full Stamina Potions or refills = 1440 Total FPs for all 3 Epics
-Or 2880 Total FPs needed for all 3 Legends
$5 for 30 FPs
- 1440 Total FPs / 30 FPs = 48 purchases
- 48 purchases * $5 = $240
- 2880 would be 96 purchases for $480
$30 for 180 FPs
- 1440 Total FPs / 180 FPs = 8 purchases
- 8 purchases * $30 = $240
- 2880 would be 16 purchases for $480
$90 for 650 FPs
- 1440 Total FPs / 650 FPs = 2.2153 purchases
- 2 purchases * $90 = $180 for 1300 FPs but you still need 140 FPs
- 3 purchases * $90 = $270 for 1950 FPs leaving you with 510 extra FPs
- 2880 Total FPs / 650 FPs = 4.4431 purchases
- 4 purchases * $90 = $360 for 2600 FPs but you still need 280 FPs
- 5 purchases * $90 = $450 for 3250 FPs
- $450 is cheaper than $480 and leaves you with an extra 370 FPs.

What about Free to Play avatars?
I am a Free to Play player and over several years I have saved up over 30 Full Stamina Potions which should be enough for 1 of each Epic. I have not started farming the Phantom of Shadow yet, which will require a lot more Full Stamina Potions or refills. I am now saving FPs from monster drops for the express purpose of purchasing Full Stamina Potions or refills.

How long will it take to do runs?
It depends on how often the event is made available to the public. Check the Events Rotation page to see last events. At the time of this blog, there have been only 2 runs, 1 per month. This means that it could take as little as 1 year to complete the Epics or 2 years to complete the Legendaries, assuming you have a Shiny Glove and a Glorious Amulet by that time.
